skunk cleaner shrimp-spawning

I've had 4 skunks in my tank for about 2yrs and tonight I witnessed something really cool.

While I was shining a flashlight in my tank in noticed 2 of my shrimp were carrying eggs (the other 2 were filled with eggs also, but they were green??). After observing 1 of them with the light for about 3-4 minutes she started bending her abdomen and releasing shrimp larvae everywhere. There had to be at least 200-300 tiny shrimp swimming around.

i have a couple of questions.

1st question- Is there anyway to collect these larvae and raise them?

2. If there is, are there any books on raising shrimp in captivity?

3. Has anyone done it successfully?

4. Should I stop feeding my corals/inverts for a couple of days because of all the larvae floating around. -->(I watched my Sun-coral have a feeding frenzy right after she released her larvae.)

Good Luck!

my cleaner shrimp did this last week .. was quite amazing to watch .. maybe if your lucky a few will survive between the rock work .. but i know my tank had a late dinner that night!

My display tank dumps into a 100gal sump with about 250lbs of LR in it. The only obstacle in between the tank & sump is a filter sock, which was taken off immediately after she crapped out those babies. So I'm wishing some of them manage to make it- just hope they can find some sort of nutrition in the rock to let 'em grow up to be big and strong ;)
