Sleeper Goby Care

I am thinking about adding a sleeper goby to my 60 gallon tank. It's either going to be a Banded Sleeper Goby or Gold head Sleeper Goby. Liveaquaria says Banded care level is "easy" and gold head is "moderate". Does anyone have any experience with either one? Is banded sleeper goby easier to care for? Thanks.

I have a banded sleeper. He is a super sand cleaner. Will not have a tank without a sleeper. I have not had a gold head before though so don't know what the difference is, behaviorally. I just know I love my banded because he gets the job done and eats whatever food I put in the tank so would not starve if my sand got 'too clean'. Does not bother any fish or inverts. Some times dumps sand on corals but has not became a problem for any coral permanently as of yet. Had him about 2.5 years. Great fish. Also they eat filamentous algae including some bryopsis, which is rare. I have a great population of beneficial worms and other small creatures so he does not seem to be doing damage to them when he sifts sand either. That or I just have enough so it has not become a problem.

Oh I forgot to mention, never had the gold head but I did have a blue dot sleeper. The banded has been the same, behavior wise, as far as I can tell.

Great! They all look awesome to me and I would be happy with any of the sleeper gobies. My priority is their well being. I feed pellets for the most part and want to make sure that I get a goby that will eat and thrive in my tank.

Firefish are shy, not usually territorial. It should be fine.
Probably should only get one sleeper goby... Just to be sure it'll have plenty of sandbed, even if it eats frozen foods.
