Sleeper Goby Wrecking Water Quality?

Yesterday I got a new gold head sleeper goby, and though I appreciate his excellent sifting, he's really upsetting my water quality. Until now, I've been letting nassarius snails and hermit crabs sift my sand in my two-month-old tank. Apparently they weren't doing a very good job.

In any case, will this settle down soon? My water is so cloudy since he began sifting.

Same thing happened to me when I got my first sifting goby. After a while the fine particles in the sand will be taken out and you should have no problems.
