sleeper head gobies

I have a mix of fine sand and shells. Will this be ok for sleeper head gobies or do they need the sand to be all fine grains?

Also would there be issues if there was a jawfish in the tank.

I think the substrate willl be fine. How big is the tank?

it should be fine...ive seen larger sleepers sift 3 grade sand

The golden head sleeper will pick up your sand, swim up towards the surface and then distribute the sand everywhere. If you keep corals they could be hazardous to their health. A diamond goby might be a better choice. They sift the sand and stay on the bottom so they just create piles, not sand storms.
