My male ocellaris loves to sleep in my rbta but when the light go on he leaves it to roam the tan k with my female. Why doesn't he stay in during the day, I have been waiting 6 months for them to host. Thanks
I think this is common behavior with Ocellaris. My old Fire Clown would stay and hover over HER carpet. Ocellaris have a completely different personality and like to roam.
It may have something to do with the female of the pair not hosting. In my experience once a pair of ocellaris start to host they rarely venture more than 6 inches from the host, probably due to the fact that they are relatively poor swimmers compared to other species of clownfish.
