Have been searching and searching for 2-3 months for a 180 gallon tank finally found a good deal on one that I didnt have to drive 7 hours to get lol.

180 glass RR tank not sure of brand 2 corner overflows.
ASM G2 with broke pump :(
mag 9.5
40 gallon breeder with 1 hole drilled.
100lbs of live rock give or take.
all the plumbing which ill probably redo.
250watt heater
got all this for $675.

Have not gotten a ton done as I do not have a stand yet so really need to wait for that to get all the plumbing plans done.

Cleaned the tank and scraped paint off the side glass.
tested the pumps mag 9.5 works sedra 3500 for skimmer not so much.

So my to do list goes
*Need to get a stand built.
*new pump for skimmer
*some more live rock
*live sand
*powerheads
*plumbing parts
*lighting

For the stuff that have laying around that I will probably be using.
Mag18
Berliner WD-125 Wet/Dry Filter

Now for some pics.

This is my idea for how it will be set up and the left sump ill have my skimmer and fuge in once i put dividers in.

Hey... Welcome....

I am from SOMD... I go to glen burnie about every other week. To a LFS up there.

That is a good deal. I have a 180. I have a build thread in here.

Ask away on questions. You are off to a good start.

What are you going to keep in it?

Looks like a Marineland 180 - nice tank. ASM G2 is a nice, reliable skimmer, but you may find it to be a bit undersized on a 180 in the long run, especially if you end up with a sizable bioload. I ran a G3 on a 180 and found it barely adequate.

yea I'm actually in a club in somd. Guessing you go to HOT I live about 5 min from there.

I'm sure I will have questions brewing here lol. 1 is I think I may get rid of the 2 sumps I have and get a 125 gallon tank for a sump.

Thanks I think it is a marineland also. I agree with you on skimmers I am looking for a bigger one used I found a cad lights 1350 for sale rated 350 gal.

I am in a club in SOMD too... I go by the same name there too. I just put up a pic for the pic of the month in there, last week I think.

Small world same club I posed in there as well not as nice as yours lol. Were you at Eric's 2weeka ago?

As for stock I really have no clue with a FSH list yet. I know I'll have SPS and LPS maybe a clam. Move my big color blenny and clowns to it. Fish I really want are purple tang and some kind of angel.

No I was with two other members (on here ReefCentral) doing a newly hatched "Visit a tank" trip. There are three of us (so far) and we are doing a roaming visit to each others tanks, once every three months, as it is right now.

That way we can get ideas. see, and help out if needed on something.

So small update selling the skimmer and 2 other sumps.

Picked up a 125 gallon to use for a sump after talking with worm lol.

Have you determined the height and all? Keep in mind the skimmer and pulling off the top. Sometimes you need about 2" space above it. Just something to think about.

On mine I made the inside tall enough to support removal and still have some extra space. PLUS it makes the tank at eye level instead of looking down or looking up.

Yea I think it will be 3ft tall or 38 inch range. Comes down to what skimmer I get.

Thanks getting there lol

Looks look your build is going to be amazing! Keep up the good work

So here is just an idea for my stand got bored and drew something up. Sorry not good in fancy CAD programs.
Stand then a side cabinet then on the side of the stand where the cabinet goes will be open so I can plumb in Reactors dosing and so on.

Got some new parts for the tank last week nothing to crazy going on still just grabbing stuff as I see good deals.

older tunze ATO works perfect love this thing.

2 single BRS media reactors and some free mud the guy gave me.

MP 40w and WP40 great deal on both should be pretty good for water movement.
