Slow growing fish

This would be generally speaking. I have 2 percs, 1 sailfin, lunar wrasse, Marine Catfish, foxface. 125 gallon, feed a couple times a day.

if you have had them for quite a while, and they are not growing, (for a 125 you certainly aren't overstocked if that is all you have), I would look at what you are feeding.

flake may be easy, but it isn't really complete. So if you are feeding flake, you may want to change over one of those feedings to frozen or paste.

also, people are sometimes still hung up on the "pinch of food" belief. you may not be feeding enough each time.

and, finally, if you are feeding a variety; flake, frozen, paste, etc. etc. you may just need to add another feeding. This is where it is great if the fish eat pellet or flake so you can use an auto feeder in between the existing 2 feeds.

DISCLAIMER: There are those who believe and have stated that I am nuts for how many feeds I do a day (4)- but my fish grow fast and show a lot of color. When I have sold/traded, my buyers/trading partners have each time commented on how my kids have more color than they thought possible. I do have more tank maintenance (what goes in must come out so to speak) but the fish are certainly happy....

so, long story short: look at what you are feeding and how much you are feeding. If those aspects are good, you may have to add another feed.
