Interesting! Can you find the link to the actual study? Would be interested in seeing the details of the test & how they controlled the phosphate levels.

I have the worst time with measuring phosphate. I have a hanna phosphorus checker. I mostly ignore it but my growth is a slow at the moment. Tuesday - 0 ppm phosphate, Wednesday .13 ppm, Thursday 0ppm and then with the same vial just re-running for kicks .03 ppm. My undergrad degree was biochemistry so I am maybe not the world's expert on assays but I am not completely clueless either. I know I have phosphates - I'm cleaning the glass...
