drilled top cross brace on one end... two holes drilled opposite side panel
near the top
I used for a refugium with the inlet on the top and the outlet on the opposite side

Inaspin..I'm not sure if it would be big enough for a main sump?
that would depend on the flow you had going through the crab tank
If you don't need a bunch of turn over it may work...
