Small clam in nano?

I am considering adding a small clam to my 12g nano. I have 54W of pc lighting giving me between 4 and 5w/gal. The tank is about 15" deep. Is this enough light, or do I need to upgrade. If so, how much light would be required to ensure a clam will thrive?

lets just put the answer at no with your current situation :)
watts per gallon don't mean squat, at 15" depth you need at least a 150 watter halides

Agreed. You'd want a 150w MH bulb. The only clams you could possibly get away with under that lighting are way too big for a nano.

But....even if the lighting was OK....it's quite difficult to keep a clam long term in a small tank due to chemical instability.
