Small crocea substrate/placement

I know crocea's are rock boring, but should they be placed on sand (aragonite) until they get larger?

I picked up a small one yesterday, 2-2.5 inches, and heard that a dish of aragonite was good for small clams, but wasn't sure what species that was for. Thanks.

they told me mine would be fine down on the sand provided there was a piece of LR or something solid under the sand for him to grab onto...

so from what i have been told i would say no to sand only for a crocea..

your is the same size as mine...

wheni had him sittin gon a small rock un the sand he kept swan diving from it...i put him up high in the rocks and he hasnt moved an inch since...

Thanks. I got home from work and he stayed put on the rock, but was not yet attached. I'll have to wait and see what he does, I don't want to move him too much.
