Small little polyps on glass

Hello,

has anyone an idea what this could be?
It's hard to take a picture of it. It's growing on my tank glass but I did the best I could.

At first it had only 1 polyp, now it has several and seems to grow. The polyps kinda look like stylopora but why and how would a single polyp get to the tank glass and grow there?

Thank you for the answer.
Yes, I've got a a pink and a green pocillopora.
Would be really cool if they reproduced sexually. I thought that was almost impossible in an aquarium.

Most corals broadcast spawn, but some corals are brooders, and some do both. P. damicornis does both IIRC. Its cool stuff. I've never had it in my tanks, but it isn't too uncommon. I've seen it in a friend's tank. There was even pocillopora growing on his power heads!

I don't think its polyp bail out generally, I believe they're brooding, but I could be wrong. If you've seen a tank undergo a poci event, they'll often (not always) get new spawnings all over in a single event.

Once a pocillopora colony reaches about 8 cm across they proliferate like mad. It is cool though but it winds up all over the tank. Hope you like them!

This subject on the bailout came up last month. Needless to say, I ripped out two colonies of pocillaporas before the problem arose. :uzi::uzi:

+1 on tweaked!

The same thing happened to me,some years back and i found little pocci's at 6-7 different places in the tank.
From that moment i considered poccilopora as a pest(a beautiful one though) took it out and never will put one again, even if they give it to me for free.:)
