Small peice of LR.

Hi everyone I am Matt and joined the club last month.
I have a 14gallon biocube. I am redoing my tank maybe this weekend or the next (new dry rock purchased from reef cleaners and haven't figured out sand ill prob just buy it from a LFS, any better brand?). The reason I am redoing my tank is because I have anthropoids that come out at night and eat/kill everything, from many corals too every snail in my tank.

I was curious if anyone has a very small peice of LR with lots of coralline and other good stuff I can buy, thinking maybe the size of a golf ball.

One other thing is within a month or two I will be changing my lights too LED via Steve'sled kit for the biocube, should I wait till I get the new lights to recycle my tank?

I live in the islip area however go to stony brook university, so anywhere close too either of those work for pick up.

Thanks for everything guys
-Matt

Oh no, killer nocturnal aquatic monkeys. Say it ain't so.

Members of the suborder Anthropoidea, or anthropoids, include New World monkeys, Old World monkeys, apes, and
humans and are distinguished from the prosimians. The sub-order is quite diverse but generally has evolved more rapidly from
primitive ancestral primates than have the prosimians and show more fully developed primate specializations.

General anthropoid characteristics:
  1. fully binoccular vision;
  2. larger brains;
  3. substantial reduction in olfactory organs and nasal area;
  4. improved manual dexterity.

Still looking for a very small piece. Main reason now is for the coraline as my tank is underway with its cycle...

Have done some stuff too the tank if anyone is interested in looking...
Swopped out all my rock and sand, love the new look.
I also got in a kit from stevesled about 3 days ago, they look GREAT ill post some before and after pictures.

First picture is from years ago with my original aquascape, 2nd is new scape and new leds (both at about 50%), 3rd is the instal picture, 4th is 100% blue, and 5th is 100% white.

Hope you enjoy

My tank is overrun and overdue for a coraline cleaning.
If you'd like i can scrape a pile into a plastic container for you
and you can pour it over your rocks. Purple in a cup.
I can meet you in miller place or bring it to the next meeting.
