Small Refugium in 24Nano

I am not to familiar with that tank but with a dremal tool you can make anything work.....I had nitrate problems for dayzzzz....then some chaeto in a small fuge and no more problems...

You dont need to buy anything to make one of your back chambers a fuge. Just add light. I peeled of the back coating and added a light behind the tank. Then added some Chaeto, it is growing nicely.

Yeah the main point is to help with hair algae. What kind of fuge did you put in the back of yours smoknta?

NVM. I read that wrong Smoknta. You MADE a fuge out of a chamber. How did you put a light back there with the top of the tank still on?

You can peel the paint in the back and tape or glue a light to it or a clip-on will work

That is pretty much what I did. I took a razor knife and scored the black coating, then it peeled right off in one piece. I have a 23watt CF light mounted to the back with a 24VDC fan running on 6VDC. I will be switching to a 13 watt here soon. The 23watt is a 4000K and I want a 13watt 6500K. But there is decent growth with the 4000K. Oh by the way, I just filled it with Chaeto and some other type of macro I cant remember the name of. I'll be trimming it tonight since it is packed in there now.
