Small star

I have found a small star (1") in my reef tank, it is now in isolation. It is either a serpent or brittle star. It is has hairy legs and alternating light and dark bands on its legs.

Should it stay or go?

It sounds like a mini brittle star. I have many, many of them in my tank. They are scavengers.

I'd keep it.
Of course we can't be sure unless you post a pic.

I only see the arms waving out of the rocks. I have a few tiny ones but one large one ..... I look forward to seeing him !

One more question. As I look, he is closer to 2" to 3" tip to tip. Still good?

I didn't know if I was going from mini brittle star to regular brittle star and if that mattered.

Mini brittles are cool. If you have one, you probably have lots. There are several color variations also.
