small zoas on a large frag plug

I have a giant plug with two zoa polyps on it - any way I can take the zoas off and just glue them directly to a rock in my tank? The plug is an eye sore.
I'm new to the whole fragging thing.... sorry.....

be careful though... if you end up with just the zoas you won't be able to glue them to anything. you'll want to slice them off the disc so you have a base of glue or even better a small chunk of the disc they are still attached to. then glue that small piece of "disc/rock" anywhere you want.

This is starting to sound risky - I don't see any glue. Maybe is there an easy way to break the frag plug? It looks concrete - the kind with the disc and a pillar. The polyps are on the underside of the disc.....

ok they grew on the plug just glue the plug to the rock it will be easier you may be able to peal them off but that doesnt always work

I've used a pair of tile cutters before for that kind of job. Just snip away at it until you have the size piece you need. And if you break it in the wrong place and split the zoas, no biggie, they'll almost always grow right back. And then you have 2 colonies! :)

Just be REALLY careful when handling the zoas. They're quite toxic.

Don't rub your eyes or stick your hands in your mouth after handling them. They can also "squirt" on occasion, so don't get your face near them.

This is starting to seem not worthwhile - the danger, the excitement - it's too much for me :)
I think I'll just put them in the back of the tank until the polyps cover the enough of the ugly plug for it to stop being an eye-sore.
Thanks for the pointers guys - but I'm totally going to wuss-out here
:)

I have a bunch like this..But most people in the hobby know those disks are very much a part of how things work..I don't find them unsightly, just the oppisite..the start of something new and exciting in the tank..

plus some of those suckers are so small you need the hands of a surgeon to do it right, better safe than sorry lol

Lizz, leave 'em on the plug. they'll grow over it eventually..i'd hate to see you lose them from the stress of fragging again.
