About a month or so ago I bought a true perc to pair up with the false perc that I have in my tank. The true is about half the size of my false, I figured that the false would turn into the female since it was the bigger of the two. About 2 weeks ago the true started to host one of my frogspawn. Last two days it was moving the sand and seem to be cleaning out the base of the frogspawn, with a closer inspection the stomach of my true perc is huge. I feed my tank every day and have never seen the true perc eating to the point that its stomach would be that big. Is it possible that its about to lay eggs, even though it is still half the size of my false perc? The true would stay in the frogspawn all day, the false would also go in and out of the frogspawn but doesn't really stay there. When they are in there together they don't fight at all. Is this right, or am I just imagining things?
