I have lots of empty tankes, and would like a trigger. What is the smallest trigger on the marcket.I love to blay with this huge black hawwian trigger at the lfs. Also is there any trigger that is reef safe that would fit in a 55g.

Theres not even an imaginary one.Or maybe you could draw one,and laminate it and stick it in my tank right infront of a powerhead.

I would worry the laminate film would leech poison into the system. :(

I kept a Niger Trigger in my 58g reef for ~4 months. He was a model citizen but ended up dying. He never picked @ anything, but I do not have any shrimp in the tank.

There are no triggers that are truly suitable for a tank that size for the long run. The closest is the undulated. For that you just have to make the small assumption that you will not be trying to keep anything else alive in the same tank.

As far as a smaller tank goes, the best species is Rhinecanthus verrucosus. It stays a few inches smaller than undulated triggers, other Rhinecanthus sp. and practically all other available species. It usually has a much better attitude than Balistapus undulatus. But, as always, with these larger fish, a larger tank is much better for their continued well-being.

K i did some research on them, and i relized that they probably wont work anywaybecause i have lots of shrimp.Pistol, BCS,cleaner. So ill probably just get a dwarf lion for my 20g or something.
