So I can't figure out whats going on here. I have had a lawnmower blenny for a year and a half and he's starting to get very skinny. He never quits eating and I supplimet with seaweed 3 days a week. Now my smith blenny is doing the same. All my fish in the tank are great and eat like pigs. I feed mysis and formula 2. Frozen. Is there anything that can beef these guys up? I love my smith blenny an don't want to loose it. Thanks so much.

Established reef
parimaters are great

Any help would be great.

How many times do you feed them per day? I've got a Starry Blenny, and I feed him two small meals a day of Formula 2 flake and frozen Mysis/Brine (along with the algae he continuously grazes on the rocks and glass). He's bordering on OBESE :)

If you're feeding them at least once a day, and they have plenty of algae to graze on, the only problem that I can think of is them having some type of internal parasite or worm or bacteria (is their poop white?). Did you just get any new fish or new additions to the tank? I had this problem a couple of years ago with one of my Flame Angel fish, soaked all food in tetracycline (which can be found for reef-safe applications at your LFS), and it cleared up in about a week. I've also heard that soaking in Vitamin C might help them recover, but no evidence to back this up.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for your reply! I have got a couple new fish. I feed once a day and the both eat so it must be something else. Will def look for that product and give it a try!
Thanks again!!
