Snail explosion

Hi,I have a three trochus snails that must have bred,as I now have dozens and dozens of baby snails everywhere,could an explosion cause any problems for my tank?could a 1000 small snails impact on my calcium levels for example ?will they die off naturally as their food supply balances out or should I remove some.

Their population is regulated by the availability of food. No worries.

Are you sure there trochus snails and not colonists snails? I had a random explosion of colonista snails. Super tiny little white snails.

You might be right,they are more like a typical snail shape.they seem to be growing quickly,changing from white to mottled brown as they grow.about the size of a very small pea.my nitrate reading yesterday was zero so I don't think that is causing any problems in tank.
