Snail Fell inside my clam

[Illusion]

A snail fell off the side of the glass and into one of my new Croceas that are on the sand bed.. The snail is about half way in but the clam closed up and trapped the snail kinda in between the top the each side of the shell.. Its being pinched by the tops of the clam shell.. What should I do.. Will the clam eventually open up so the snail can get out.. Help..................

no the clam will open up and spit the snail out, not allow it to crawl out. dont worry, it will be fine.

First time I saw one squirting a snail I was LOL so much my wife asked me if I was still sane. Watch for the little buy, if it falls on its back it may need some help to turn over.

Well About 12am I heard this pop and looked over and the snail was out of the clam.. The clam seems open up and normal today except its gapping a bit.. Other than that everything is looking great... Its one of my favorite clams in the tank so I really dont want to loose it... Thx for all your help guys..
