snail ID anyone???

Good. It's one of the species that shows up in reef tanks a lot. I used to find them buried in Halimeda opuntia. It's a turbinid, and is either a species of Collonista, Homalopoma, or some closely related snail in the subfamily Colloniinae. They're good little algae eaters.
Small snails don't get as much coverage in the popular literature as the larger ones, so it's a little more difficult to nail down the correct name of your snails. Some sources show a very similar snail and call it Collonista amakusaensis. Other usually-authoritative sources show a shell listed as that species that is quite different. It's funny how many of the most common hitchhikers in reef tanks turn out to be the "problem" species for taxonomists!

Yep. After googling collinista, I found nearly identical pics and descriptions.
Dicsovered a sundial about 3 months ago, so I've been more cautious about what tiny little critters are crawling around.
