Snail ID - Friend or Foe

These snails have appeared in my tank. Are they reef safe?

The photos are not perfect, but hopefully someone can ID or help.

It's hard to say without better pics but it looks like a Limpet. Could be friend or foe depending.

What else could it be that is bad? Also if it is a limpet, how big do they get?

Either take a better pic so we can ID it properly or look up "limpet" and see if that's what it is. Some limpets are predatory others are harmless herbivores.

I agree that the 'adult' photos look like limpets of some sort. The 'baby' photos look like stomatella snails to me though, and not immature limpets.

I think the adult is a keyhole limpet. That is what it looks like to me. I am not sure about the other.
