Picked up over 150 of these today. Not sure what kind they are, and if I should put them in my tank:

You can put them in your tank if you want, but they may climb out, or spend most of their time above the water line. They are safe algae eaters if you can keep them in the tank, though. It generally helps if you include some locality data (if not where you got the shells, at least what state or area you're from). In this case it doesn't matter much.
