Found this tonight, can anyone ID it and also confirm it's age if possible. To me it looks young and it's shell doesn't look fully formed or solid yet. If what I say is right does that mean snails have reproduced in my aquarium?
Yours looks like a type of Chiton to me. They have several different shell types even one with a hole in the back. They are great to have in the tank, they're good guys and are algae eaters.
Sorry but that isn't a stomatella. I've got dozens of them in my tank. The shell on a stomatella doesn't cover the whole body and on stomatella the shell is completely smooth not bumpy at all like the one pictured. I'm pretty sure this one is a chiton.

I think I see why I was thrown off from seeing this as a stomatella. The back half of this one I thought was something on the rock and not the back foot of the stomatella. Also it's such a good closeup it looked like something else to me.
