Bumblebee Snail. It's a burrowing detrivore.

Okay, thanks. So pretty good for eating detritus out of sand?

It should be good as long as there is plenty of fish-poop to eat. They occasionally are known to feed on other small snails if they run out of detritus to eat. I like them.

They may also eat some other small bugs. I would not consider it reef safe.

I believe if hungry they can eat polyps as well. I read that somewhere. I haveabout 4 of them in my 55 and get suspicious when i see them near my zoos.

bumble bees are also known to be preditorial whelks. meaning they may attack other snails. i would keep an eye on him. if you see it damaging something then throw it out.

Ah okay....might steer clear of them then....
