i've recently lost tissue on a few sps corals. both montipora and acropora and a cyphastrea (guess its an lps?) . not sure if it was water chemistry issue or a pest. checked for AEFW by dipping 2 separate corals and nothing came off them (doesn't look like AEFW anyways from the research i've done but rather rule them out). i've had red bugs before and they've never done tissue damage like this and they are usually pretty easy to spot.
checked tonight after lights out and found these guys on the cyphastrea and an acro. not sure if they were just grazing algae thats forming on the dead coral skeleton or if they were actually eating coral. also found a few on the LR itself. anyone have an ID? was hoping they were colonistas but they're soo tiny i need some more opinions (looks like possibly 2 different types of snails?). Thanks.
