I have the same kind of snail in my tank I don't know what it is, but it has been in my tank for awhile and not caused any problems what so ever. I would like to know what it is too. The pattern looks different on mine. The shell is as white as the one in your pic mine has algae growing on the shell. Sorry about the huge pics though.

I answered Chewieee's other thread. This snail is probably Pardalina testudinaria (called Pyrene testudinaria in most of the popular literature). If so, it's a columbellid, in the Dove Shell family. Gray Reefer's is definitely a columbellid, and is probably also Pardalina testudinaria, although it's apparently a different subspecies. (Some authors would consider the two to be separate species rather than subspecies.) I think both should be good guys in your tanks.
