I thought about more Large Ceriths, if someone wanted to split an order of 50 or 100

Does anyone know anything about the cukes that they are selling ? Are they more, or less, toxic than the tiger tail cukes (if and when they die) ? I am just worried about them becoming belnder fodder for our Vortecs

I am pretty much anti-crab in general, since they all seem to be snail-killers. Any feedback on these particular blue-legs ?

I have there cukes from before. They are just as safe as the tigertails. The coomon name is turd for them, I think. I have (2) black and one yellow. They should stay in the sand and away from your pumps. The filter feeders are the ones that are attracted to the pumps.

The blue leg hermits not eating Meat is BS. They will attack the large cerith and take there shells within weeks. They are the same blue legs everyone else has.

EDIT : upped my cuke order.. since we have a large sandbed we should be able to support them. If they grown too big then we can always trade a few of them around to other club members when/if that happens

One more question.. mainly because I really don't deal with crabs that much.. how agressive are the scarlet hermits ? We tried some a while back but some straggler blue legs made short work of them.. it was grisly... this new tank will be blue leg free here shortly (as in this week).

I have had pretty good luck with the scarlets. I think it is due to them being in larger shells than my snails when I get them. They mate a lot in my tank, which supplies nice for for the corals.

I like the scarlets as well. I don't like any of the blue legs as I've found them to be more aggresive, but the scarlets don't even pay attention to snails. They also munch on hair algae, so I've been using them to keep the HA under control.

I'm assuming that at a minimum we will be combining orders to get the best pricing offered: for example I want 2 emeralds, so does StrictlySPS meaning for 4 they cost $16 not 2 x $10. Additionally if you just sum up the totals for each type, we have 9 emerald crabs meaning if accounted for by "bunches" 2 x 16 + 1 x 5 = $37 or if accounted for by quantity discount 9 x $4 = $36 so we should just order 12 of them for $36 right? I'd be happy to pay $9 for 3 or $12 for 4 instead of $10 for 2, I'm sure others are in the same boat?
