??Snail/Slug/?? I.D.

I got home last night and found this crawling around the tank; I have not seen one before and would like to know if anyone can give me an id. It appears to have a bit of a hard shell on top it's almost like a snail without a full shell. anyways pictures would probably do better than my description: Is it reef safe??

This is just about the commonest hitchhiker that shows up in tanks. It's a grazing snail called Stomatella varia and will help keep your tank clean.
