Snail

I just found a snail in tank that I have never seen before. Tank has been up for 7 years so I pretty well know what's in there. It is white (no Shell) with snowflake like thing on it back, Kind of like a sea apple looks. any ideas and is it good or bad. Haven't added any new livestock in months.

If it has snowflake-looking things on its back, it's probably not a Stomatella. Do you mean the pattern on the animal looks like snowflakes, or does it have frilly appendages that look like snowflakes? A nudibranch, Jorunna funebris, is a white animal with round black markings that look kind of like snowflakes... Some snails hide their shells well, as in the case of cowries, and their papillae may look something like snowflakes, too. But, if it's a white animal that looks like it has white snowflakes attached to it, it's probably a tritoniid nudibranch (Tritoniopsis or related genus). These are generally bad news for aquarists, as they feed on soft corals.
