anyway, I counted 6 turbos and 1 mexican 2 times today. But I started with 6 turbos and 1 died a while ago and i had 2 mexicans but one died. I am pretty sure it is just a mistake i made - maybe the dead mexican really wasn't dead and just switched into a smaller shell but no idea why. OR it's possible the LFS gave me 7 turbos even though I only bought 6. The ambiguity is b/c they were all clumped together and the first day I thought there were 7 (5 in a clump and 2 others) but then i didn't count the "extra" one until later (so I just thought there were 6). Anyway, the one who died was on some sharp rock. I pulled him off and I think the remains of the snail floated to the surface. the mexican who died must have been a dud because he just laid on his side which his snail body like a couple mm from the glass and then he flipped around inside his shell and eventually the crab or somebody must have eaten him (I guessed) and this was in the first 24 hours or so. It's probably a "user error" but it is strange to me when I count 6 turbos and 1 mexican????????? all the rock in the tank was in my shed for 1 month during icy temperatures before I got the tank going. No "live" rock yet. Waiting until I understand more before I go that route.. Anyway, I probably have the answer to my question but I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge I can about anything related to my tank...
