SnakeEyes Quad Led's

I have a 72g bow, that I am getting ready to set up. I have acquired a aquatic life 6x48 t5ho light. This light just doesn't fit the tank....too wide. And please call me chicken as I do not want to hang the light.

That said I have been looking at these Green Element Snake Eyes Quad from aqua trade. Looking at a chart on that fish pl. at 18" from the surface I should be able to grow my sps, with 144w unit from aquatic life. There is no way I can afford 1200$ for lighting.

Light spec's:
Fixture Size: 48.00" x 9.00" x 1.50" (Add 3.00" in height with bracket installed)
LEDs Count: 64
8640 Lumens
Super energy efficient 3 watt high output LEDs
32x 10,000K LED
32x Actinic 460nm LED
Use 192 watts

Thank you for any and all feed back. I need something to continue to grow my mixed reef out. My 40g breeder is crowded.

Not being a prude or anything. The quality of these lights are sub standard at best. If I were you I would look into something full spectrum like reefbredders or some other light that has good reviews. For the mean time and I know it will not look very good, place the fixture on a couple of pieces of wood across the ends and save up a bit to get something you will be happy with. You can get some very nice full spectrum lights at about 200 per set two of those will work nicely. If you do not like the wood idea. There are light hangers that mount to the back of the stand to hang lights off of... and wil look good...

I have that same LED and i love it.

Thanks for the feedback. I bought the SnakeEyes back in May, on sale for 175. My SPS and LPS are not that demanding and figured I could afford to take a chance. I have not set the system up yet.

No problem buddy. The only issue that I've had with them was the fan that it comes with failed. So what I did was buy a set of fans and installed one and saved the other for back up.
