Sup all, I've finally got enough work done on this thing to post a quick pic. This has been a major project because I re-did my entire garage for this.

It's Johnny Mocks old frag tank, I actually closed off a major part of my garage with a wall I installed with my father in law (actually he did most of the work, I helped and paid for everything). My wife is now real happy cause she got a washing machine room out of it. :D

Installed a 1 ton split A/C system in the garage, painted everything white and epoxied the floor. Still need to finish electrical as we wired a 30amp breaker for the A/C and tank alone. A/C takes up a max of 6 amps. We're using two 50gal Rubbermaid stock tanks for sumps. Anyways here's the pic:

Hehe, funny you should ask Armando. For now I'll be using your old Gen-X PCX-40 1200gph pump. There's two 90's and four 45's going from the pump into the spray bar with loc-line.

U know me and plumbing. Thats just the return right? Are u going to be using anything else for water movement? this is just a frag tank right? So just eggcrate and corals?

Believe me Armando, after looking at your plumbing I realize I'm just as anal when it comes to plumbing. :D

That was just the return, but yes I plan to do SPS here so I do have additional flow.

It's kinda hard to see but if you look in the pic I put up you'll see a Koralia4 in the right hand rear corner of the tank next to the end of the spray bar/loc-line. I plan to add one more to the right side, and one to the left side which is completely seperate. I love this Frag Tank Johnny had made, the right frag area is 3x3 and the left is 3x2. So yeah, just egg crate and lots of corals!!!

The sumps will hold about 70 pounds of live rock I got off of Rogger, cheato and will also hold live sand I'm getting from Mel. Man what would I do without you guys!!!

Frag Tank - Johnny & Morgan Mock
Live Rock - Rogger
Return Pump - Armando
Live Sand - Mel

***Update*** 1st Water Test (Tap)

Sup peeps. I'm so excited, I FINALLY got water in this thing!!! Even if it's tap water it's running and I'm glad to say NO leaks so far. Still have a ton to do, Electrical, ATO, Lights ,Skimmer and some fine tuning. Any ways thanks to (ESC), Justin for giving me a hand.

GarageDoor.jpg

Had to insulate the garage door due to the heat created in the afternoon by direct sunlight, also replaced all rubber seals around the door for the A/C. Can't find any cold air leaks. Also I think the insulation actually lowered the room temp in the afternoon by at least 10 degrees.

I'm surprised that all (6) 1/2" Loc-line w/2 1/2" wide nozzles push plenty of water for what I was expecting, I'm using a 1200gph pump. The Koralia does help a-lot and I think I have more than enough flow, even for SPS. Like I said still have lots to do and I'll update soon...

Hey compulou not to change the subject on your thread, but If you dont mind me asking what did you use to insulate the garage door with. I might be adding a tank aswell In my garage but some concerns like that Is one thats preventing me. Thanks

No problem, here's exactly what I used to insulate the door. I just cut several square pieces from this stuff:

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=15355-10477-15355&lpage=none

And forced them into each square opening in my garage door, then used A/C tape and taped each one into that spot.

Update, Lights are on!

Update, Lights are on!

Sup guys, check it out I finally got the light up. It's a 250w SE 14k PFO Light, sooner than later I'll change out the bulb for a 10k, it's too blue for what I need. I'm only lighting up one side for now. I had a stupid idea thinking I could use one of those pulley systems they have for the bikes that go up and down so why can't I use one for a light rack, and wala it worked. My dad built the frame we used to attach the reflector using 1" standoffs and it weighs less then 5lbs with bulb. So I can adjust it up and down which helps for many reasons. All materials used are either powdercoated or stainless. I don't anticipate much humidity any ways with the A/C.

With light up and away to allow me to work in tank

IMG_5962.jpg

Light lowered depending on the corals lighting needs

IMG_5963.jpg

Got the light right where I need it

IMG_5964.jpg

The pulley system that I used for the light rack. It was $20.00 bux at my local Lowes

Still have a ton to do but I can at least scratch this off the list.

ALMOST DONE!!! I can't believe it. Just need to add salt water:

IMG_5970.1.jpg

Everything is in place, with my pops and ESC's help I'm just about ready to throw in the saltwater, mounted the PFO ballast, ran a seperate circuit using it's own 15amp breaker, you can also see the new 105gal 65"tall container I picked up to hold water for my 65 and Prop tank water changes...

The Light Rope is double secure with a lock up top and a cleet to tie it down

IMG_5975.jpg

The garage was sealed off from the washing machines creating a better environment

Anyone that enters is encouraged to help our fund, hehe

Oh, and I thought this was cool. I just caught this little cerith leaving an egg trail. First time I've seen it in my tank and it's a year and a half old.

Soon very soon, I just need to find a good price to have some water delivered. Any suggestions?

Thanks
