Got some snowcassos yesterday, and they are swimming around and everything, but won't eat. They came with some reef munchies , and they nibbled at that for about 10 seconds yesterday, but haven't even looked at food since. Ive tied flake and pellet.

They are about 1 "..in a 40 B , with a coral beauty , and a tiny hippo tang ( for QT ), along with a cleaner shrimp, RBTA and maxima clam.

They each have went down the overflow and I got them back in the tank, and I netted the overflow off so it won't happen again .

Are they not eating because they are scared of the other fish ? The place I got them off of fed 3 times a day, and Im afraid they will die if they don't eat .

Or is it too much flow ? I have 2 koralia 2's .

What do i do ???? Please help !

IMO they should be fine if they are swimming normal. They have gone through alot of stress, shipping/transport, new environment, new tank mates, overflow adventure, and so on. Just be patient and keep feeding them as you normally would, they should start eating more and more as they get situated in there new home. It never hurts to try a variety of food such as, cyclopleeze, rods food, and or flakes. Good luck I hope they make it.

when i had bought my snowcassos i called doni's reef where i bought them from and was recommended to feed them new life spectrum small fish formula. its a very tiny pellet food.
i had good luck with this food and after a few weeks they were big enough to start eating flakes and mysis or other more normal foods.

Post pics of the snowcasso's! I bought some platinum clowns recently and they didn't start eating till 5 days later. They were stressed out from the move as well and ignored anything I threw at them. They were okay though and swam normally like yours do. I was worried because they were so expensive. Now they eat like pigs. They love the Spectrum pellets, try those.

I got some small fancy whites and they didn't want to eat anything either. They were very finicky and only wanted powder size food. They are doing better now that I grind everything LOL

I would try fish eggs, my snowcassos did not eat for a few days either then they started to eat anything like rods, spectrum pellets and mysis.

Sorry everyone .... CORRECTION ... " grade A picassos " not "snowcassos." Got caught up. Was trying to type fast before I left my computer. Bad pics, light is off now, was blurred also . My camera sucks lol

Mine didn't eat the first day or two either. Cyclopeeze works very well since it is so small. You can also try soaking food in garlic which is an appetite enhancer. I'm also curious where you got them from.

I got them from alpha corals . They were the grade A picassos. And I'm glad to hear mine aren't the only ones that didn't eat ! He is nibbling now . I will try all kinds of different foods !

I shaved frozen cubes for a month when I got my perculas.
