Ok I have a snowflake and a picasso clown that pair up a couple of months they been laying eggs.
My fist question is snowflake are ocellaris clowns and Picassos perculas right ?
If I breed this fish I'm making a (mule fish)?

Second question:
If this fry or clowns make it to be adults can they breed or they will be sterile like a mule?

pretty sure these have been made. **name removed because of legal threat from trademark holder**s, am i right? lol guess so, RC automatically removed the name i typed. just chop the names in half and google, youll find it. starts with snow, ends with casso

That was just Doni's trademarked name for high white picassos, they a 100% percs. You are right though snowflake/picassos have been bred. I think they are called white nights or Dalmatians.

Been breeding them for years. I have a female platinum & a male snowflake. 50% are white & some with bullet holes & the other 50% look like true percs. Not a single one with any snowflake pattern & have raised over 1,000.

I believe the perculas have a stronger gene If you replace the platinum with a wyoming white i can guarantee you will have Amazing babies

I bought a book about clowns in it I read that the pattern comes from the male.. does this fit with your situation or would that debunk the claim

When you mix a picasso and a snowflakesou get a clownfish hybrid with with alot of dots. Some breeders claim that their offsprings are pure percula .that's because a true percula 100% percula picasso that has lots off white with random dots is very desirable. Very common on hybrids .but there are a few breeders out there that won't tell you that they are hybrids .if you add a snowonyx or blacker ice or black snowflake the dots will come out black .

Bali Aquarich breeding that combination. They call them Picassnows. Very pretty clowns that looks mostly white with black dots.

The first lightning maroons were bred from a lightning maroon female to a png white stripe maroon and I believe he was getting 50% lightning maroons. So IMO that theory has been debunked.

If you replace the platinum with a WW you'll end up with frostbite clowns. I'm currently getting a mix of regular occys, snowflakes, an frostbite clowns in each clutch.

I'd love to see some pics of what you are producing. I'm currently pairing one of my high white picassos with a frostbite to see what happens. They are both offspring from my breeding pairs so they are only about 6 months old so it'll be some time before I see what I'll end up with.

i think Frostbite clowns are very sought after and can be sold to lfs for $35 each so it would be nice to get a ww
