So are people ever going to actually have the magnets in stock?

Damn I've been trying to order a magnet forever and No Tunze stuff ever seems to be in stock anywhere??? Tunze is getting as hard to find in stock as H&S skimmers.. I'm wondering if Tunze has any plans to step up production so they can meet the demands of the US market?

Yes, and we have but guess what demand is always ahead and just grows faster than our production can. You need to preorder. Every year for the past 3 years demand has grown 100% in America and about 30% worldwide, that kind of growth is very hard to keep up with. We increased production about 25% every 9 months or so over that time, In a few years another big add on will be made to the factory but we have a limit to how big we want to be and we already decided that we will never make anything in China, Taiwan or Mexico or farm out our ideas. I think while we may catch up from time to time this is just the way it is.

That won't happen, I don't think anyone who isn't family has stock and part of being able to do things are way is not getting too large and not having to answer to anyone. When you have to answer to people and profit is your only motive you could never make the low volume products we make.

A MIRACLE, A MIRACLE, my magnet holders just arrived from P.A. I thought the day would never come.....

It s hard to be a quality specialist in a cookie cutter world and you make one heck of a product

i love the stand you take there is really no room for cheap knock off products in reefkeeping.

I am glad Tunze is old school

rvitro thanks so much for the response.. Looks like I'll just need to bite the bullet and preorder again=)..

Just got my Magnet from Marine Depot on Monday (Ordered back in November). I have been waiting so long for it. I want to order another stream and magnet, guess i gotta plan in advance.
i'm surprised Tunze didnt think of the magnet idea earlier, it really is much easier than all those brackets, and once it get covered in corraline, it will just blend right in.

Albert, it was harder than it looks, we started working on the magnet holder about 2 years ago but until we had the outrigger type design it was too unstable. We tried everything even pairing it with suction cups but we didn't get anywhere until last summer.

I modified the rails on one of my Tunze's and jut use 3 suction cups on it so I don't have to have all the extra bracketry.. Didn't cost me a penny and it works pretty good. Every once in a while though it does fall down...

Well if you actually run sand in your tank it might make a mess but I hate sand and will never have a sand bed again=) Once you go BareBottom you will NEVER go back...=)

OMG you ordered in NOV?!
I was thinking of getting one, but with that kinda of wait I dunno now.
