alright... so im sitting on a suitcase, with my computer on a box. been living in my new place 2 days now.. if you can consider it 'living' its more like a caotic mess.. i cant even find my computer chair...

the ONLY thing left at my old house is..
a fully stocked tank...
about 10 gallons of r/o
and fish food in the freezer

Im running over there twice a day to feed them, and top off the water.. turn the air on and off etc. Im not topping off enough.. so my salinity is rising to 1.026ish then back down to 1.025 twice a day.

At my new house.. I have 30 gallons of fresh r/o salted, heated and ready to go... 10 gal fresh, new sand thats been cleaned and is soaking in r/o with bubbles

I have a few good friends that are 'on call' for me.. 1 works and the rest can make it about anytime

old house is 2 miles away or less
I have a bta firmly planted between 4 rocks

heres my concern/question/looking for ideas

I NEED to get the nem to move. but as SOON as it moves... I want/need to tear things down immediately call everyone and move it all and re set it up the same day.

any ideas? I see myself going over and pointing a powerhead at the foot.. and then just sitting in the empty place hours on end and nothing happening.... Ill leave.. the next day.. well I have a few bad senerios running thru my head...

so what would your plan of action be?

I really need to find my chair!!! I counted my moving bruises today. im at an all time high over 27 of em. hope this one lasts 2 yrs... lol

I have been told that putting an ice cube in a plastic bag and touching the foot of the anemone for a few seconds at a time, will make it move if you can get to the foot. Good luck, this can't be fun for you.

assuming you can get to a hold of the individual rocks I would try to stabilize 3 rocks while I slowly peeled the 4th rock away from anemone's foot. (sort of just the opposite of peeling the foot up)

then I'd peel the 3rd rock off and finally take another rock out and leave the anemone on one rock. I might even leave it on 2 rocks.

If you don't want to peel the anemone off of the rocks and you are happy with the aquascaping then using putty epoxy you could "lock" all the rocks together and move them with the anemone as a single unit.

If you have time, put a clean new flowerpot upside down over the anemone so the light comes down through the bottom hole and hits the anemone. It will move up to get to the light and foot inside the pot. For a larger BTA you may need to make the hole in the bottom bigger. but don't make it too big, they seem to like the security of being able to pop out of a little hole.

Otherwise use your fingernail to slowly pry up the foot.

I've used one of those plastic cable ties' end to gently pry it of the rockworks. Once you make enough space underneath the foot you can start to use your fingre to slowly get it to detach. Whole process took me about 20 minutes.

Move the rock(s) with the anemone attached. If 2 hands are not enough to handle the rocks it is attached to, use a friends as well.

Frankly, if you have not removed the rock around the anemone yet, you are likely to find it is really only attached to one rock anyway :)

I went over there today and its shifting like crazy i donno if its because of salinity changes or what (i dont think anythign else is changeing) but the end of its foot is totally viewable!!

I have no choice but to wait 4-5 more days now, but im happy to see the foot

I fed it a s slide today and it took it real slow, unlike its usual self. man do i need to get my tank!!!

thanks for the advice everyone. Ill take a few pics after the move :)

(boy i hope my nem decides to go front and center like it is now) :D
