So its week 7 and the fish are doing extremely well. I added a Cleaner Wrasse a week ago to QT with my other fish for the last two weeks. He has been cleaning my tang's quite often.

Do you guys think I should just wait till next weekend, WEEK 8, to add the fish back to the DT or can I add them now?

The answer is no, it's not a good idea. You "reset the clock" when you add any new fish to the QT.

WRX, exactly what part of this are you arguing with? (or are you just trying to run up your post count?) You may just enjoy debating things, but that's no excuse for giving reckless and inaccurate advice to any unsuspecting reader that might accidentially take you seriously.

I can careless about post count lol. I had a name prior on here but didn't log in years ago so I have a different email now.

I agree the acclimation period starts over...but leaving all fish in the QT for another 8-12 weeks just seems a tad overkill IMO.

FYI - Building my 300 tank so I am no newbie.

Then maybe you should articulate what you are saying about QT time?

It's one thing to say that you think others are being "over cautious". It's another to offer something solid to back up what you are saying.

OP, Please leave your fish in the QT tank for the acclimation period so you can observe the wrasse and other fish for any new breakouts. Waiting another 8-12 weeks is not required.

2-4 weeks is perfect.
