Hello guys, I recently joined the forum and I have had my system running now for about 2 weeks. I picked up the setup from craigslist (except the light) and the setup had already been running for about a year and half.
This is my setup:
- JBJ 29 gallon nanocube
- kessil A350W
- Tunzi skimmer (plan on going algae scrubber soon)
- 2 X 240gph hydor pumps
- 1 Softball size of chaeto
- 30 pounds Live sand
- ~40-45 pounds of Live rock (Fiji and tongan)

Current residents, order of introduction:
- 2 turbo snails (day 2)
- 4 1" hermit crabs (day 5)
- 1 neon goby (day 10)
- 1 chalk bass (day 10)
- 5 ORA torchus snails (day 11)
- 10 1/2" blue legged hermits (day 11)
- 1 2" cleaner shrimp (day 11)
- 1 purple firefish (day 13)
- 4 polyps of orange colored zoas (day 13)
- 2 polyps of green zoas (day 13)
- 4 polyps of yellow zoas (day 13)

Water conditions:
- Temp: constant 79 degrees
- ammonia: 0ppm, nitrite: 0ppm, nitrate: ~10ppm
- PH: 8.2 - 8.4, alk: 12, calcium: 480, mg: haven't checked yet, I don't have SPS
- Phosphorous: 0

I have been doing 25 - 30% water changes every week. Here is my setup :) :

As a returning reefer after about 6 years I'm just amazed at the advancements in filtration, aquaculture and lighting now!!! These were my two tanks back in the days :), 60gal:

And I Had a separate 30 gallon for this little guy :) :

I added a 6 line wrasse in there too. I switched to an algae scrubber instead of a skimmer and Ill just let the numbers speak for themselves... Here are my readings as of today morning:

Nitrate: 0 (I know hard to believe but true)
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Alkalinity: 11.3 ( I know a little on the high end, but did a 15% water change already)
Calcium: 480
PH: 8.3
Phosphate: 0.5 (working on it, it was at 2 when I started!)
Mg: 1350
Sg: 1.025

This nano is in my room so I don't like the skimmer's constant noise, hence the switch:

I had a little hair algae grow, so I did the 3 day lights off with full lights to my scrubber / chaeto... now the sand looks crystal, I think:
