So this is my tank.

pictures are great! what type of camera are you using?

Just a point and shoot Cannon. It's nice you say that, taking images under LED is a learning experience, especially with a cheap camera. I use contrast and saturation just like everyone else.

Maxima, Goniopora not quite open tonight, other misc sps.

Awesome looking tank !!! Have you thought about maybe just ditching the Hydra and going just T5's ? Or maybe taking 2 bulbs out of the T5 fixture and running some NanoBox boards down the middle ?

Yeah I am seriously thinking about it. I have a 4 bulb ATI fixture with new bulbs. I might change it out this week to see how it works out. I will miss my shimmer though.

I am working on the scape currently, constructing a new one with dry rock so the tank is basically just a pile of rocks right now to place corals.

Seriously considering going back to T5, not seeing the kind of growth I expect.

How do you like the tank? is the height enough? Enough room in the rear chambers for everything you want? Could we maybe get a pic of the equipment?

Sure I'll throw one up when I get home.

You do sacrifice depth for the rimless shallow look, seems redundant I know. Since I am currently reconstructing the scape this has been even more apparent to me. It's a challenge trying add/create that perception of depth for aesthetic purposes.

The back chambers are large enough to fit any skimmer designed for nanos. I am thinking of adding the nano bio-pellet reactor and it will fit without issue.

Luckily new equipment is being designed specifically for nanos all the time.

The tank is designed as frag tank, so long story short making a display requires a lot trail and error scape wise.

Currently I am only running the Tunze 9001, Tunze Osmolator 3152, Ehiem 75 watts heater so there is really not much equipment.

Thanks for taking a look. :-)

I love this coral, ORA Borealis which looks like Acropora Tenius to me. Fast grower, great color and pe.
