Shrimp lava? How? The only shrimp I've ever had in my tank is a cleaner shrimp, but other than that mysis shrimp that I feed them

How many cleaner shrimp do you have? Mine spawn all the time. They are quite interesting in that one will be male and the other female. After the next molt they will flip their roles. It could also be any numerous kinds of pods and larva of them. I have amphipod molts floating around my tank all the time and see their larva out at night a lot.
(and that should have been shrimp larva not lava)
Hmm, makes sense but no idea how it would be stuck inside my HOBTo big to be a copepod but if you brought in anything wet from some other tank then there's a very good chance you have brought something like copepods in. They are very successful hitchhikers.
Didn't see the reply before. Good possibility. If mysid they don't generally like higher salinity most target for a reeftank of around 35ppt. Usually they do much better in brackish waters up to around 30ppt. But I wouldn't adjust salinity for them and just enjoy having them while you have them.
