Depends on your experience level. Waiting has more to do with reefer maturity than tank maturity, as evidenced by the previous posts.

If you are a beginner, wait 6 months or more to dial in your skills. If you are an expert, well, you know what you are doing

This indeed. In my current tank i basically had to do it after 7 days. I moved my old tank so it was part new start part moving. So over a 60% water change and new (dead) rock was in the tank.

It turned out quite fine.

Since I don't have any established rocks/water I'm just going to wait it out. At least a couple of months before I add anything. The LR in my 500G FOWLR are loaded with impurities Po4, Nitrate, etc thus they won't be of any use.
