So when do I know I have a pair?

How do I know if my clowns are or if they will become a pair? Both the clowns swim together the large one on top. (Most of the time) Also they both share the anemone.

Another question I have, is I’m a bit worried about my anemone, since I took this photo he has moved himself into one corner of the tank, just under the return. With some of his tentacles at the top of the water. He also is not as full as he used to be. He has darkened a little but I’m wondering if that is simply he is not stretching out as much.

All advice or suggestions welcomed.

How long have you had the clowns? I would say after 3 months or so of peaceful existence b/t the two you could say that you have pair. Would be considered a mated pair after the first spawn.

As for your anemone, hard to tell, but it looks like either a Mag or a BTA. If it is a Mag, I would suggest trying to sell it or take it back to your LFS -- I really don't see it making it in that sized tank. BTA -- might be able to make it, but it is already getting too big.

What lights are you using? (( assuming PCs, and the anemone is reaching for more light ))
What are the current water parameters --- with numbers.
