What do I need to know. My system is pretty basic, 60g cube with a ~30g sump . My mag 12 return pump has added alot of heat, so im running a fan on the sump. Thinking about adding a old chiller(I have 2 in my moms garage). Also have a heater(never runs) a gfo reactor, skimmer. Led sump light , and radion gen 2 main lighting. Bio load is a coral beauty, and a perc a few shrooms , a couple zoo colonies, and a dozen+ sps. Also a cleaner shrimp a couple emeralds and some snails and hermits.

Ive never had a controller before so what do I need to know? Whst should I hook up to it. Not sure the 8 outlet s are enough because of the ato .

This is how I would hook up the outlets. I would also look into selling one or both chillers and buying a jebao dc return pump. Has mag pumps will heat your tank 24 hours a day. I am running no chiller or heater . Tank temp stays 76.5 to high of 77.9 thanks to dc pump.
Outlet list
#1 pump
#2 skimmer
#3 powerheads ( using a splitter)
#4 part A
#5 lights
#6 ATO
#7 lights
#8 part B

I would use Timer on feed mode to help with phosphates. I run no filter socks or pads so keeping food out of sump is important to me. So feed mode turns skimmer off for 30 min
return pump for 20 min
Power heads off for 5 min

This way you feed and food will drop to the bottom and 5 min later power head turns on and circulates any left over food in display tank for 15 min. This gives chance for fish to pick off what left. This has helped me with keeping phosphates Undetectable.

I hear you on the dc pump, but the mag I just got to replace my dc8000. It died about a month ago (less than a year old) and since it was from a group by and calros is mia I have no idea how do make a warranty claim.

Well if you live next to me I can help you fix pump. If not email them direct they will send you new one
