Soak brine in salmon fat

Just wanted to see if anyone fed their fish with foods soaked in fresh salmon oil. I rendered the fat from some salmon belly scraps and wanted any input if they think it's a good idea. Do salmon harbor any heavy metal toxins in their belly fat?
 
Well...salmon are not on the top of the food chain unlike fish such as Tuna. So, I would think that it would be minimal, but just an educated guess.
 
And I read that selcon is vitamins b12 and C with a hufa omega-3 fatty acids. I am assuming that rendered clean salmon oil from the belly section should have all the fatty acids from the fish that selcon would have. Unfortunately it doesn't have the vitamins that it also provided. Selcon to me looks like a salmon or fish oil that has been emulsified with a stabilizer and vitamin enriched fluid. Would my assumption be correct?
 
If you have the salmon fat anyway, I don't *think* it should be an issue re: heavy metals, but I'll wait for someone more knowledgeable to chime in. My understanding is that you're correct on the Selcon. I usually soak in Vita-chem or selcon.
 
I soak food in fish oil. The pharmaceutical kind people take as supplements. That would be the safest way. A pure product with no contaminates.
