Soaking food in Metro+

I have a regal tang that had ich for almost 2 weeks and I started soaking her food with Metro, Focus, and Garlic Guard and it cleared it up fast and haven't seen any signs of ich for some time. Most people on this site claim it doesn't work but I have had success along with some other people that I know from my LFS.

I was trying to use this method to get rid of what I thought was ich, see thread below about Blue Tang...

But I couldn't get it to actually soak into the food no matter what I did. The LFS just said, "Yeah, just try to get some on..."

But the minute I put the food in, you could see the white flecks of metro fall off into the water. So not sure if it did anything.

In order for the Metro to soak into the food you have to do the following:
1) de-frost your food without adding any water
2) use Focus with the Metro (1:5 ratio)
3) it needs to sit on the food for about 20-30 minutes

I add garlic guard so the the fish will actually eat the food.

And be cautious with it: use it when needed, but only when needed: it's a pretty rough med.
