SoCal Reef Clubs

tanu... let's go clean some beach and scrub some seagulls...

and as for the club donating and raising cash for a good cause that's awesome... and sometimes it's alot easier said than done... one of the clubs (car clubs) i roll with has a toy drive every year at an autozone in downey... it gets a huge response... but they aren't big enough or have enough juice to raise money for charity... when they throw a carshow, picnic or other even that cost $bank... they hardly make enough money to cover the price for the event... if their lucky they break even, or make some cash saved up to advertise in the toy drive...

bah...

anyways... that's a dope idea those NJ katz are doing... i remember donating to that artificial reef foundation... you know... where they sink an airplane or bus in the ocean...

NJRC may have taken a year to raise that much money but that doesn't reduce the value of the contribution. If 25% of the reef clubs listed here on RC were able to make a similar contribution I'm sure the organization would benefit considerably.

Fund raising is a full time position for many. But when it's kept on a small scale and the primary goal is raising funds you have to look at each expenditure and be sure it's necessary or if there are other options.
