Soft Corals

Hi, new here; just set my tank up 3 days ago. While I do the patient waiting of the cycle. I have a soft coral question. I had a 65 a few years ago but, it was FOWLR. This 30 gal I've decided to do corals. From everything I'm reading; zoa, ric & mushrooms are the easiest kept corals. My question is what about Gorgonians? Are they a soft coral; are they easy keepers?

Many are non-photosynthetic, meaning you will need to target feed daily. These are harder to maintain. There are photosynthetic species available, which are probably easier. Also, they need a TON of water movement. Trust me on this... they really, really need water movement directed at or near them. They are one of very few species of inverts that has evolved to take advantage of linear, non-changing currents in the ocean, (sea whips and sea fans).

Thank you for the reply. I thought maybe they would be hard to keep. I'm planning my stock while waiting..and waiting.. and waiting..(hardest part) lol Do you know which ones are photosynthetic?
