Soft or snowflake Hydroid problems

I have a bad infestation of soft hydroids and was hoping for some form of treatment . Have tried manual removal, hydrogen peroxide, and just can't keep up. Is their anything that will eat them? Or is the only fix to tear down and start fresh?

There are nudibranchs that will eat some hydroids.
I don't know the species though.
Hopefully some other people would help...

Yeah...
I've got a problem with hydroids in one of my systems and I would think many people do.
I noticed that when I feed the system a bit extra they tend to proliferate more than usual.

I just take some time during maintenance to grab them from their bases with tweezers. They brake easily from their base and I can somehow control them that way.

But once they're in the system reproducing it's hard to eradicate.

I'll be waiting for people to publish their observations on any predators.

colonial hydroids(brown and hard tubes) are fairly easy to get rid of , you can pull the rock out of water and they will pull off in a mat , rinse with ro/di and repeat as necessary.

digitate are very hard to eradicate , funny thing is though they usually die off in low nutrient systems given enough time, if theres food they will reproduce faster than you can pluck them.

unfortunately digitate hydroids they are not easy to get rid of and h202 has little to no effect long term.

Colonial were simple to get rid of. Just a simple kalk paste and they were done. Now I'm battling digitate. Have to figure out a way to get my tank to an ulns

youll need to carbon dose in order to get to ULNS , in which case being ultra low is as harmful as the hydroids if the proper steps arnt taken , supplemntation and proper dkh play a huge role, going ULNS will starve them though and they will be forced to rely on photosynthesis as they cant get all they need from that alone.

I was dipping for a while with peroxide and it was only a short term fix on the clear tiny hydroids. I did notice that healthy zoas smother them eventually and don't miss a beat, so I stopped worrying about them and they have since burned themselves out.

The colonial ones with the stalk have to be manually eradicated.
